Where Would We Go?
"We are ready to sell, yet worried about having potential buyers in our home. We are scared for our safety."
I hear this a lot these days and of course, it is an extremely valid concern. The safety of my clients, family, fellow colleagues, and community are paramount and I take very seriously.
A few of the safety systems we now have in place include:
-All potential buyers have been prequalified so the people in your home are only serious buyers.
-We have potential buyers and Realtors agree to sign our “terms of entry” COVID waiver and abide by our strict protocol.
-If we do grant a walkthrough, all lights are on and doors are already open. Physical distancing is abided by and no one touches any surface.
-I always provide sanitizer at entry and everyone removes their shoes upon entry.
To read our entire co vid system we have in place and how we are still providing staging and professional photographer/videographer services with our listings just ask!
My intention remains the same: to safely provide what’s possible so people can take action with confidence.
I've included a pdf- positive quotes you can download and print as we could all use a little ray of sunshine and positivity these days. We are in this together! As always feel free to call me with your questions. I’m here to help! Janet
Who else is loving how our families and communities are reconnecting? From social distance birthday car parades to showing our support for front line workers by clapping and cheering from our homes, neighbors dropping off groceries at front doors and even revised, more efficient business models emerging, I find myself very hopeful! These are uncertain times yes, however, I do believe when our social media memory photos pop up a year from now, as well as the deep sadness we will remember, I'm certain we will also be reminded of how we came together as a community and we will be grateful. We truly are in this together. For all of us, business and life are not as usual for sure! I’m continuing to work with new systems in place. My intention remains the same: to gratefully share what's possible so people can take action with confidence -Now while keeping my professional and societal obligation to do everything I can to protect myself, family, colleagues, and clients. Enjoy giving gifts yet don’t like gift wrapping? Instead of using wrapping paper that ends up being thrown out and as we all know, to wrap like Martha takes time, a lot of time! Instead, consider using boxes made of reclaimed wood that can be re used, vintage and new scarves, even fabric remnants. Instead of store bought bows I use vintage ornaments, broaches, fresh greenery and pinecones. I like to use rosemary and cedar from my garden as both are fragrant. Make your gift wrapping as special as the gift itself with my custom designed free printables. It’s an easy way to make the gift you give that much more memorable. Helm’s Sunday Sellers Guide:
A client recently asked me if they should decorate their house while it is for sale.
I say yes -in moderation! The same theme of less is more should be kept while selling your home during the holidays. There are serious buyers looking and a house with stylish trimmings may encourage them to ring in the new year in your home! Keep decorations fairly neutral and instead of decking all the halls choose a couple of your best features/ spaces to highlight- a tall decorated tree can show off high ceilings, festive tartan throw pillows placed on a bay window bench can highlight a view to a large backyard. Keep views clear and tree bases narrow as you want to ensure your home continues to look spacious and bright. Keep decorations simple, a bowl full of pine cones, exterior door wreaths and if you have a fireplace add some festive greenery on the hearth.
Do add exterior lights as you would typically do, and keep the lights on into the evening. You never know who might be driving by! Are you curious what your home is worth? Thinking it would be nice to ring in the new year in a new home? I’d love to help! I'm just a phone call, email, text or tweet away! xo Janet photos from 204 park and cintrineliving
